Dos semanas nos separan para el comienzo de la etapa culminante (play off) de la temporada 2023 de las Grandes ligas (MLB) y continuamos haciendo seguimiento a nuestros pronósticos de cierre, que comenzó con éste artículo y le siguió éste otro. Las cosas han cambiado desde entonces y la lucha se ha convertido en algo parecido a "matar o morir" Dicho esto, hay equipos que parecen desinflar y otros que han tomado el toro por los cuernos. A continuación la revisión por división y liga:
Revisando el este de la liga Americana, los increíbles Orioles de Baltimore continúan encabezando la división. Los oropéndolas permitieron que los Rays de Tampa les empataran la punta en medio de la semana, pero lograron separarse un juego con las estadísticas hasta anoche sábado. Y es que mientras los pajarracos han jugado para 5-5 en sus últimos 10, las rayas han estado jugando para 7-3 y de allí el porqué lograron asomar a la azotea. Aún así, los demás equipos de la división se mantienen demasiado lejos como para aspirar a algo. El pronóstico se mantiene: Orioles campeón y Rays jugando un cupo en la ronda de comodines. Los Azulejos se puede colar en el tercer puesto del comodín.

San Francisco ha dejado que los Marlins se adelanten a dos juegos de ellos y parecen que se quedarán fuera. Arizona tendrá que pelear muy duro contra Cincinnati y Chicago para conservar el tercer puesto del comodín. Acá se ha caído el pronóstico de tres equipos en la etapa de play-off y sólo Arizona tendrá que rezar por un milagro si desea que éste servidor recupere algo de credibilidad en los pronósticos. Muy complicado pero posible, pasa Arizona con Los Ángeles ya clasificados.
¿Pasarán los Diamondbacks y los Cachorros? ¿Qué cree, mi estimado lector? ¿Podrán los Azulejos asegurar el pase? ¿Los Marineros se recuperarán? ¿Cincinnati dejará a todos con la boca abierta en una de las más impresionantes recuperaciones de temporada de las cuales se tenga historia? Me sorprende la temporada de los siguientes equipos: Marlins y Rangers, los primeros es clave el regreso de Soler a su lineup, mientras que los Rangers desde la salida de Adolis García han perdido fuerza al bate y el lógico porque pierden a su mejor empujador, además también de la lesión de Scherzer por el resto de la temporada que es un abridor confiable
Sí, Soler ha sido una gran adición al roster (no solo se puede vivir del pitcheo y de los hits de Arráez)
Lo de los Rangers era para que estuvieran mejor dada la tremenda alineación que tienen...la verdad, debieran estar más arriba, pero ya mencionas la de cantidad de problemas que han tenido.
Anoche los Orioles clasificaron asegurando un empate en la punta de la división. Ya quedan pocos cupos. Dos semanas de infarto por delante.
