No rush but just saying, if you happen to have time and a linux server worth 5 usd it takes 30 mins for someone who has no coding background to sign as a witness, and then you can erase the server, format it but exhaust account stays as a witness and people could vote for it, and if you happen to receive enough votes to be at the top 20-30 witnesses then you could run a witness server and it would not only cover the server fees but it would also increase exahust's voting power so it could vote for more and more people

Thanks for the thoughts and recommendation. I've thought about it a bit before, and maybe I'll consider it again. I've got some spare hardware kicking around the house that needs a use.
If I do decide to pursue it, I'll make sure that it's fairly obvious. However, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Also -- I don't think the witnesses are that bad. It's hard to align everyones interests at the same time. A lot of them are genuine people that believe in the success of the ecosystem and aren't just trying to line their pockets (I hope).
