Sad ending as Yaya Toure is shown red card in his final club game

It's a sad way to say goodbye to professional football world as Man City legend Yaya Toure was shown red card just 10 secs into a game that's believed be the last professional game of his career.

This is quite bad by all standards. Normally, players would want to leave a good record in their last appearance for their club. This would ensure that such players are remembered for leaving great footprint in their final appearance for their club. But this is against what happened to Yaya Toure as he's ending his on a bad note.

During the game between his club Qingdao Huangha and Nantong Zhiyun, Yaya Toure was sent off the pitch just 10 secs into the game for the offence of aiming a kick at his opponent. The red card wasn't however, shown immediately the deed was committed. It was until after a VAR review that the decision was made against him, followed by a red card flag.

His side Qingdao Huangha would go on to lose 1 — 2 to the opponent. It was indeed a sad moment for the Ivory Coast star man as the game was believed to be his final professional appearance for his club.

I wish him best of luck in his future engagements.
