I don't complain because I do the things I do on my terms. I'm also doing them because of the sort of life I plan to have.

In my own life, I can say the same. I work hard, but the work I do for a living is all due to how I designed my life. It took years of dedication to get to this point where I make my living doing what I love (podcasting). The 2005 version of me could only dream of a day when that would happen. And yet all these years later it is a reality and it brings me great joy and satisfaction.

I say we should all lean into our natural gifting and dedicate the hours and years towards it. I have never been happier in my work than I am today. I owe my past self a big huge hug, my appreciation, and gratitude for leaning in and not being dissuaded by the nay-sayers.
