My Favorite sport movie - Major League II (1994) ‘‘Wild Thing’’
Best regards to everyone in the #Movie&TvShows community, this time I'm here to give you a short review of one of my favorite sports movies: Major League II, starring the famous actor and comedian Charie Sheen.
LA SEGUNDA PARTE DE UNA HISTORIA CÓMICA Y A LA VEZ ROMÁNTICA Y MUY DIVERTIDA/ THE SECOND PART OF A COMIC STORY AND AT THE SAME TIME ROMANTIC AND VERY FUNNY
We move back in time and we go to the decade of the 90's, specifically to the year 1994, where in the United States and worldwide the premiere of the second part of the Major League plot is given, now with part 2, in where the plot of the first part is given continuity by adding more characters, as well as that characteristic comic side that gave it a lot of success.
The story of the Cleveland Indians team that in the previous season, that is, in part 1 had qualified until the post-season, managing to beat the Yankees in the division series and that this part 2 they come with everyone to want to conquer the league in order to reach the world series, the team is apparently in good economic condition and with a new owner, in this case a woman manages to buy the team and that is when she brings some renowned pieces to make it more competitive, already more Later the team has a bad start to the season and the team's economic situation begins to worsen and that is when the owner begins to sell some important players trying to dismantle the team.
EL INFARTO DE LOU BROWN / LOU BROWN'S HARD ATTACK
Due to the poor results of the team, the manager of the team Lou Brown, played in this case by James Gammon, suffers a heart attack, and this is replaced by Jake Taylor played by Tom Berenger who takes the reins of the team in an improvised and very timely manner. in the midst of many economic problems, in which several of the team's superstars had already left by then, sold by team owner Rachel Phelps starring Margaret Whitton this time.
The poor performances of superstar Ricky Vaughn (Charlie Sheen) and the disagreement on many occasions with his catcher Jack Parkman (David Keith) lead the team to the last place in the table and Jack Parkman was traded to the White Sox team from Chicago its direct rival in the division, the Indians team after being very low in the table they manage to recover in the table and for the second consecutive movie they manage to rebound in a sensational way in the positions in the league to gain access to the post-season .
LLEGA LA POST-TEMPORADA Y LOS INDIOS SE ENFRENTAN A SU ANTIGUO COMPAÑERO / THE POST-SEASON ARRIVES AND THE INDIANS FACE THEIR OLD PARTNER
The Cleveland Indians, after rebounding in the table, find themselves in the finals against the White Sox of Jack Parkman, his old teammate who knows them very well and tries to hurt them, the Indians seem not to affect them and manage to win the first 3 games of the series. for the American League championship placing the series 3 to 0, but in a rebound of the White Sox team they place the series 3 to 3 led by Parkman until they take it to a maximum of 7 games.
In that last game, it was very disputed, things were seen that had never been seen in baseball and the director of this film (David S. Ward) wanted to place them very well, remembering the famous sweep or slide at home plate, by Willie Mays Hays, starring Omar Epps who in a run from first base after a connection to the outfield manages to score, and as if that were not enough when he reached home he manages to elude catcher Parkman, his former teammate, managing to jump over the top to score on the run and go up at that moment, then Parkman himself would put the White Sox up with a home run to leave everything served so that at the end of the 8th inning Pedro Cerrano (Dennis Haybert) with 2 men on base would hit the go-ahead home run final 6-5 on the scoreboard in favor of the Cleveland Indians.
EL RESURGUIR DE RICKY VAUGHN ‘‘COSA LOCA’’ / THE RESURGENCE OF RICKY VAUGHN “WILD THING”
Ricky Vaughn who in the past was the closer and who in this movie was transformed into a starting pitcher did not do well in that role, in love with a poor girl Niki Reese (Michelle Burker) but seduced by the money and fame achieved for what was achieved in the last movie and a beautiful blonde woman Rebecca Flannery (Alison Dudy) lost the talent in her arm taking him to the bench, but in this game manager Jake Taylor places him for the final part of this commitment returning to his old role of closer, unleashing madness throughout the stadium of all his fans and supporters of the team, achieving a performance expected by all, Vaughn enters to pitch to get the last out of the commitment facing a controversial decision made by himself, when filling the bases to solely and exclusively pitch to his former teammate Jack Parkman, a slugger and who knew him very well for being his catcher in the Cleveland Indians at the beginning of the season, whom n managed to dominate him with three pitches, two at 99 MPH, and last at 102 miles per hour to strike him out and achieve victory for his team and pass to the world series.
