Ganar o morir en Nueva York, análisis-opinión / Win or died in New York, analysis-opinion | ESP-ENG
All the post-season series in both the American League and the National League have gone one way, to use a phrase, what does that mean? Both the Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres in the old circuit took care of the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers respectively and in the young circuit, the Houston Astros had no major problems except for the first game of their series against the Seattle Mariners by sweeping them 3 games to 0, including a marathon game of up to 18 innings where they managed to take the win and the series, but there is still the series between the Cleveland Guardians and the New York Yankees, who have played an extremely close and strategic contest, giving it the different and intensive touch worthy of this part of the season.
GANAR O MORIR EN NUEVA YORK / WIN OR DIE IN NEW YORK

Already with the series in favor of New York 1-0, bad weather and rain came in the way to play the second game last Thursday, which forced the teams to adapt to the demands of a new schedule regarding the new days to carry out the remaining games of the series, being affected, both in the opening pitchers and position players, since everything would be measured to play 4 games consecutively without breaks in 2 different cities.
At an unusual time in New York, and under a bright sun, the second game of this series started on Friday, Guardians and Yankees would give continuity to the contest of the previous game, showing how close the scoreboard, this, thanks to the work of their starting pitchers, on the one hand, the Mules, Cuban Nestor Cortes, who had several days without pitching since the end of the season and the always competitive Shane Bieber on the part of the Cleveland, who had already made his first start in front of the Cleveland, The Mules' Cuban Nestor Cortes, who had several days without pitching since the end of the season, and the always competitive Shane Bieber on the Cleveland side, who had just made his first start against the Rays in the last Wild Card series, the latter being more in tune.

Although both pitchers only reached 5 innings in their presentations, they were at the height of the commitment, the Yankees' team, gave Bieber an early start in the first inning with 2 runs, product of Giancarlo Stanton's home run through the right field, which seemed that things would be the same as always and those of the first commitment, to make the Cleveland pitching star wobble, The onslaught of the Bronx continued in the following innings, but the strategies of Francona and his pupils were enough to hold and give a chance to his bullpen to also do their thing, but in a slower and more patient way, managing to tie the game against Cortes, thanks to movements in the pads in the 4th inning, and a solo home run by Amed Rosario in the 5th.
This has always been the characteristic of Terry Francona's team, to squeeze the most out of their opposing pitchers, and in the case of being behind on the scoreboard, to get into the game with patience at the plate, tickets and a good run on the bases that is very well executed, because they have players like Jose Ramirez, Amed Rosario and Oscar Gonzalez, who always put the ball in play, this attribute achieved the Cleveland team to win in 10 innings in this second of the series allowing them to arrive at ''Progressive Field'' their home with the series even at 1 apiece.
A TODO DAR EN CLEVELAND

At home of the Guardians, everything continued in the same way, perhaps with a greater number of runs, but the strategy of both managers and their pitchers gave them to always keep the scores with a differential of 1 or 2 runs, worthy of post-season games, a case that I particularly like, because there is always a chance for any of the 2 teams, in the third game, everything looked very good for the visit, they managed to be in front of the game for almost all the innings, they started losing 2 for 0, but with two homers of Aaron Judge and the Venezuelan Orlando Cabrera, 2 runs each, they took control until the final inning, Cleveland, as it is characteristic, waited until the end, not giving up trying and being patient until in the culminating inning and thanks to an indiscutible with the bases full of Oscar Gonzalez, always putting the ball in play, they managed to crown a cluster of 3 scores to conquer that contest and go in front in the series 2 to 1.
Since Aaron Judge's lineup move from first to second gave positive results to manager Aaron Boone, he repeated that move for the 4th of the series, with the loads more distributed, offensively speaking, between Rizzo, Stanton and Bader, the Big Apple team was able to combine with Gerrit Cole's outstanding work, for the second time in this series, Stanton and Bader, the team from the Big Apple was able to combine with an outstanding pitching performance for the second time in this series by Gerrit Cole, 7 innings of work, striking out 8 opponents, to take revenge for the previous day and tie the series at 2 apiece, moving everything to a 5th and desisive challenge in New York City.
DESDE EL TERRENO DE JUEGO
When we go directly to the field of play and the results of the performances of the players that make up each of these teams, we can see that it has been a series purely of pitchers and defense, beyond that has had its long-range hits as Naylor and Rosario on the part of the Guardians and Rizzo, Stanton and Bader on the side of the Yankees, it can also be said that it has been a series of pitchers but with aplomb, who have had their difficulties, but it is thanks to the defensive work of their teammates that have been able to get ahead in difficult situations, giving it a different touch and placing it as the best seen so far in the playoffs.

Saludos!
