LOGRARAN EL 40-40.? / WILL THEY ACHIEVE 40-40.?

Now we go to what is one of the greatest feats, or perhaps one of the greatest dreams for any position player in MLB after a World Series ring, achieve 40-40, hit 40 homers and steal 40 bases, in the same season something that only 4 players have been able to achieve, the Cuban Jose Canseco in the 80's with the Oakland Athletics, in the 90's the North Americans Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez, with the San Francisco Giants and Seattle Mariners respectively and more recently, in 2006, Alfonso Soriano, the Dominican player who with the Washington Nationals managed to reach those 3, in something that seemed impossible, that for the second decade of the new millennium, we have several candidates for that achievement that meet the ideal conditions for such achievement and that it will be a matter of time, that this list that today is 4, rises to 5 or many others.
FUTURO EXPLOSIVO / EXPLOSIVE FUTURE

The players that I am going to talk about below have that adrenaline, and that spark, that will undoubtedly take them to equal those famous players who once set that record and it is difficult in this modern era, what if we talk about the center fielder of the Seattle Mariners and Dominican Julio Rodriguez? The recently named rookie of the year in the American League, has one of the most complete physical conditions of all baseball, his ability with the bat, makes him always be on the bases, which leads him to expand his chances of always being at first base to steal pads, a combination that makes him a key player in the lineup of the team led by Scott Servais.
It is impressive to see how in his first year in the majors, he already acted like a veteran player, his confidence in the field, also led him to connect the ball very well, awarding a number of significant home runs, that with a little more experience and patience at the plate, this player will become an easy player of 40 home runs per season, What impresses me most is that he occupies the first position in the lineup, sometimes the second, and has the vision to always do his job, not neglecting his other roles, which makes him a very complete player with the projection to achieve the famous 40-40, due to the explosiveness of his game, this being essential to steal bases and make good connections.

One that could not miss and is my favorite, the Venezuelan Ronald Acuña Jr, a player who has everything to reach such a mark, the number 13 of the Atlanta Braves, will have to leave a little aside those celebrations so eloquent and concentrate more on his game, because he has plenty of talent, He has an incredible ability to run the bases in seconds after a good connection, and if he can combine that with the speed of his legs in specific routes such as from first to second or second to third, he could reach more stolen bases, reaching 40 in a very fast way.

With the bat is more than proven that he is good, in only his second season in the big leagues of the 5 that he already has, he has already shown to be very close to that task, connecting 41 complete round trips, and stealing 37 bases, staying just 3 pads short of the famous number 40, which makes it very clear that at any moment, we will see the pride of La Sabana, Venezuela, in that very important list of the 40-40 in less than we can imagine, a gift that has been given to this boy of just 25 years that a spectacle to see him play baseball.

Like all good American players, he followed in the footsteps of his father, Bobby Witt Jr. son of former pitcher Bobby Witt, who in the 90's stood out as a good starting pitcher with the Texas Rangers, Jr., also in the American League but now with the Kansas City Royals, stands out as a position player, Witt is one of the best promises of baseball, in just his first season with the Royals he reached 20-20, showing signs that with time and more experience he will reach the famous 40-40.
Witt, has what the previous 2 mentioned have, speed and good batting to lift the ball and reach a significant number of home runs to reach 40, his youth helps him, and is that at just 22 years of age has those attributes of a mature player, and this will also be a question of a few seasons when we see him mounted in such a rule of 40-40, His infield position has to be clear in order to establish himself once and for all and help his team return to the center field of the American League, either at third or shortstop, but due to his physical condition, I believe it will be the hot corner who will be with him for the rest of his professional career.
ALGO DIFICIL DE LOGRAR / SOMETHING DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE

Of course it is something very difficult to achieve, but not because of the quantity, but because of the following; this type of players usually always want to be on the bases, and better yet, to hit a home run, if they want to be on the bases the most number of times it comes in most of the cases, from a good connection, either a double or a triple, and therefore the home run, if you hit a double, reaching third base by stealing has always been difficult, there is the first difficulty, if you hit a triple, you only have home plate, and that is even more difficult to reach and if you hit the home run, you can't steal any bases.
These players are always looking to get the ball out of the park, which in theory is the most feasible, but in something sometimes difficult to understand, getting to first base, is a little complicated, because it must be either by the way of the single or the ticket or ball, I feel these three factors are the least likely in this type of players, increasing the difficulty in reaching the stolen base and consequently, that in 3 of the previous cases, Canseco, Bonds, and Soriano, was the stolen base the last objective to reach the record, why do you think that the players, grabbed the base to take it in their hands, after reaching 40 steals. ? because the difficulty in this type of players, is that, to reach first base free, avoiding, the double, the triple and of course the home run, only Alex Rodriguez reached first base 40 stolen base before the home run number forty.
