Afcon Game Start: How Much Ready Are The Teams?
To many who've seen my posts around the blockchain space and who know me personally for less than 5years, they will be surprised seeing me talk about football and may even be more surprised knowing that I used to play competitive football and table tennis or ping pong as some call it.
Anyway, that's a story for another day because I had my brain reworked not to be overly concerned with football after I had an injury playing over 7years ago. The post is centered on the Afcon games that will be starting up in about less than two hours from now. The host is Cameroon, and they'll be starting their campaign today in group A.
The Cameroon team is not just the host but also a team to be wary of, having dominated the African football tournament as champions in recent years. There has been some reservation in some quarters though as to the preparedness of the rescheduled game which would have taken place before now, All thanks to Covid-19 😏. There's also the issue of many player's health, having tested positive to the Corona Virus.
There are a total of 24 African nations vying for the trophy, and we will seat back and find out who the winner will be come February 6, 2022 when the competition will end.
Do you have any favorite team or player in the competition? Is the game really ripe considering the pandemic? Feel free to share your thoughts please.
I think that the teams all is having the same power, as most of those team has a player who play in the European club isn't it?
Yea. That's true. The Cameroon team ended their first game with some home advantage as host.
My favourite team Nigeria, the player am looking out for will be Mane, he played differently for his country with passion, let see how far he goes.
It will be nice to see him play against Egypt. I hope you won't be disappointed though. The last minute change of Coach by Nigeria can impact the team negatively.
Thanks for coming around
