IT'S TIME FOR "JEWEL'S MAINTENANCE CHECK☑
Hello friends of the @cycling community I bring you all a warmth and gracious greetings from my corner here in some part of the globe, I'm particularly excited to be a member and to share my fun riding my new bike "jewel" which I purchased some few days ago and I was also thrilled to show it off here on these community
About my new bike since I needed it urgently I never had time to take it out for servicing AMD maintenance check, which is a necessity especially for new bike... And if you're a biker, you should periodically take your bike for servicing and maintenance check often atleast ones per month so as not to damage your bike
So today I had a free time after work so I really had to take jewel out for a check up
At first I had to change the front tube cause the repair boy said , it had puncture near the valve which is very bad even if he tries to fix it, it will still won't last, so he suggest I fix a new tube
He bought out a new tube, and fix it, after which he had to run a full body maintainance check, which was taking out both front and rear wheels, applied grease, took out the Borise and cleans it, before inserting it back and applied grease to it, the rear wheel was a but difficult to take out because it was too firm, the big guy had to come over and help him out
All the gear and break cable were removed and oiled very well before inserting them back
It was time to service the engine but it was getting late cause I didn't go there on time so I had to reschedule another date for that, I also had to change the mud guide , fix a new one in place,
When the maintainance guys were done I test run it for some distance and everything was working fine and well
One fascinating thing is the bikers shop, I was so dumbfounded while taking a glance at all bike's accessories he had In store, almost everything I needed for any type of bike, there and then I knew that's here is were I'll come to Get all I need for jewel , she's in perfect condition, I'll need to install headlights and rear light as well, since my bike has two water bottle set, I'll get two of that with the holders, then a fancy light, a reflector as many as I can get,.. That's pretty much it for now but that will be gotta be on my next visit probably next week....
Since I'm done with the maintainance I at least know that my bike won't develop any sudden fault, so I'll be doing this once in a month,
It was a nice time and I felt good driving it , smooth sound with ease, now I'm rest assured... No worries or emergency
If you want to keep your bicycle to run smoothly and safe you need to do some maintenance regularly. The frequency depends on several conditions; How much you ride? The quality of the bicycle and the equipment and the conditions you're cycling in (wet or dry, smooth roads or rocky, sandy tracks).
But a short check of you chain, tires and brakes often is enough to see if maintenance is needed.
Thanks for sharing!
