THE CURRENT AGENDA AGAINST LIONEL MESSI

Lionel messi is one of the greatest football players all time in fact of the greatest sportsman to have ever walked on this planet and I personally think he is the G.O.A.T

Many believe he is an alien due to the incredible things he does on the football pitch, he has this rare ability of making even the most strongest defenders lay face down.

His achievements speak for him, he is one of the most decorated football players of all time;

six ballan dor's ( soon to be seven)
ten la liga
four champions league
most golden shoe
most assists
These and many more.

Last season, he lead a lackluster barcelona side to the copa del rey trophy, though they came third he was the highest goal scorer despite coming out of an injury, with argentina he won the copa america ( finally winning the trophy that has eluded him all these while), overall he had a wonderful season.

So why are there so many people against him winning the ballan dor' despite being the clear favorite, for those that don't know what the ballan dor' means let me explain

the ballan dor' is an award given to football players who performed brilliantly at the end of each football year.

Lionel messi holds the record for the most ballan dor' by any footballer(six), of all the nominees: lewandoski, jorginho, benzema, ronaldo, kante etc, messi clearly out performed all these wonderful players last season.

The current agenda against Messi winning his seventh ballan dor' is astonishing, fans, colleagues, managers etc are all against him winning it which is difficult to believe.

Yes I know lewandoski has been performing well especially 2020 which he could have won if not for covid-19 but Messi is the clear winner for this year. Karim benzema is on form this season but last season he was not so I don't understand why his name is being mentioned at all, jorginho was influential for club and country but still messi deserves to win this year's award.

I have reasons to believe that cristiano ronaldo's ( the fierce rival of messi) fan base are responsible for pushing this agenda but believe me folks there is no one stopping lionel messi from winning this year's fifa ballan dor'.
