Life Lately| A healthy balance! My Actifit Report Card: July 18 2024
Life Lately| A healthy balance!
I’ve almost given up on measuring my every step and instead focused on building the habit of an active life. I’ve mentioned how much I didn’t want to go to gym and explore nature instead to keep myself fit. However, I have realized it is not something I would be able to do and keep up.
Moreover, I've had a significant change in my passion to travel and explore. These days I value meaningful relationships and spending time with family and friends more than anything. When I say my passion for travel changed, I don’t mean I don’t like to travel anymore. It’s just that I love other things in life more than that.
For example, I’ve learned how to embroider and sew clothes as a challenge. It was such an eye opener for many things. Anyway, let me come to the actifit post. I've also taken the effort to learn to cook a few things.
Of course, I do eat out a lot but I’ve got tired of that as well. Now, I enjoy knowing what is on my plate. I mean, the ingredients. I love light and soulful food. And, fruits! I’ve been gifted a packet of surprise fruits by my bf and they were the highlight of the day for a week. There were cherries, mangosteens and jamuns.
Look at this mangosteen, they’re so cute and yum!
There are also days where I try to healthify a Cola or make a mint mojito. The balance!
When I say soulful food, it is not always the best in terms of health. For example, this plate of puri bhaji is fried puris and potato mash. It tastes so good and I just love it for breakfast.
Then there are days when our dinner plans end up at KFC and just a few fried chickens or noodles.
French toasts have been a craze for sometime now and it continues in all its glory. I’ve also started to click the pics of my food more often just because I made them 🙂
So, here’s an awful lot of pictures from the last few weeks.
I especially loved this mango chia pudding and had an enormous amount in a day. Everything I searched that day was around “how much chia seeds are too much for humans”! But, it was soo good and I would like to share the recipe one day!
Well, that was an overview of the last couple of weeks getting into a routine that I hope to keep up 🙂
