My Actifit Report Card: October 27 2023
Today, I'm happy about the food I ate all day! That's not an easy statement to make considering my food choices in the recent past. But the best part was definitely dinner and here's a pic of that to tell you what's coming up at the end of this blog!
There's another news! I got a brand new camera 📷. So, in the after noon, when we went to get the camera, that's when the day started for us today. We had butter naan and a mixed vegetable curry. It was just right! Didn't feel too full but at the same time filling.
In the evening, we went for a tea and I had a banan fritter.
The dinner was the highlight dish of the day since I prepared it 😎 So folks, here's a simple and hearty dish- Kichdi and the recipe for it!
Kichdi is generally ideal if you're down with a flu or fever. All you need are:
rice- I take white rice that's easy to boil
Lentils- you can take thr lentils of your choice. Here I took the orange and green one. The orange one is called moong dal and the other one I just call green dal.
Onions,garlics, tomato- as per your taste. I took one onion, give garlic cloves and one tomato.
The lentils and rice are taken in equal proportion. That is one cup of rice and one cup of lentils(both combined). Wash them thoroughly with water.
Now, saute the onions and add salt, turmeric and chilli powder ( or pepper powder). I used a mixture of chilli powder and pepper powder. Also, I'm using a pressure cooker.
Once the onions are soft, put tomatoes. And let it soften. Then add the rice and lentil mixture. First add water to the level of rice and lentils. And then, add two more cups of water.
Kichdi is best when the consistency is in between a soup and water. It took three whistles in my pressure cooker for this to get boiled. And here's the final dish!
Well, we had an avacado milk shake to end the day. Since I'm not the one who makes it, I'm not sharing the recipe. But, here's the pic of how it looks like. This is the tastiest milkshake I've ever had!

PS: Can anyone @actifit help me with the posting issue? I tried posting my report yesterday and it gave an error message that i can only post once a day. I posted the previous days report at 12am and was trying to post yesterday's earlier in the day. Anyway, I tried doing it a bit more early today so that i dont have a problem tomorrow. But, does this mean I've to wait 24 hours after this post?!
It'll be great of someone can help me understand this :)
