Sorry your little one is not well. Hopefully it's something she will get over quickly!
We are under the same wind advisory; it appears to be blowing out of the northeast for now. I'm not worried about the power simply because over the years, we've finally gotten a generator set up that works for everything including the well.
If you're in town, you should be fairly safe from debris. Where we live, we are in the forest and there's always a danger of falling trees. I try not to think about it. Fortunately as well, there are two very big semi old growth cedars that guard the house on the front and the back sides. Hopefully, should one of the other trees nearby fall, they will run interference. I've had a car hit with a falling fir tree in the past, so fingers crossed!
Take care and be safe! Excellent job with your 10553 @actifit steps for the day!
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, it is looking like a common cold. This is only the second this school year that I believe she had. She used to get a lot more of these in the lower grades.
Glad you two are safe from the falling trees. From what I read you are really well prepared for things like these in terms of power outages :) We just try to get lucky every time and while there was a lot of light flickering which knocked out our internet services a few times we never actually lost the power. Possibly because we are in a fairly new development which has all the power lines under ground.
I will pray for a speedy recovery! 🙏
Funny you should mention the utilities; when we lived in Colorado, ours was underground and we never lost power in the entire time we lived there!
We moved here where everything is above ground and it's just ridiculous! There are so many splices in the lines around here that they are more metal than regular wire! It's a wonder it even works at all!
I'm glad your family is safe. You are correct; we are prepared. There is nothing though to help the unsettledness that comes when knowing a tree just might not miss the house this time.
Take care and enjoy the upcoming weekend!
Thank you.
You are most welcome!
