A Rainy Tuesday………My Actifit Report Card: April 8 2025

(Edited)

It’s another rainy day here in the PNW! It seems rainier than normal but haven’t looked at any precipitation records to verify that.

My day began with ladies Bible study. There were just 4 of us present, and 2 of those were sick and the third -I’m thinking she may have been as well. I had no idea I was walking into that situation, but there I was. I’m hopeful that I’ll be okay as I never did take the illness the doc had plus today, I stayed pretty far away from the ladies. Despite this, the study was awesome! I’ll also be taking some colloidal silver over the next few days for giggles-just in case!

When I got home, @silvertop asked me if I wanted to go get a coffee. Of course I said yes, so we set out to Starbucks.

Afterwards, we went across the street to Safeway and got a couple items. Then I turned Zuki into Lynden City Park for some photo ops. My first picture is of a tree that caught my attention because of the brilliant white flowers. From the distance I was, I couldn’t tell what kind of tree it was.

I crossed the stream and got closer. Turns out it is a white magnolia tree.

Simply beautiful! This particular path is lined with white, pink and almost purple magnolia trees! Here’s a couple more shots of some of the blooms.

This particular magnolia tree has a lot of moss and lichen on it.

There’s another one close by. It’s odd in the fact it only has 2 blooms on the whole tree! It looks to be older and not in the best of shape, but it’s still trying! This is one of the two blooms.

The stream is still higher than normal because of the rain we are having, but not as much as the last time we visited.

Where @silvertop is standing was submerged in 3+ feet of water the last time.

The retaining wall in this next picture looks like they either used bags of Quick-Crete or had poured concrete into bags and let them set up. Kind of a unique look.

Here’s the start of the paved trail that leads out into the back suburbs of Lynden. It’s quite nice as it tends to go through a green space like area by the stream.

That’s gonna be it for now. Take care and as always, enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌎🙏

NKJV Genesis 1:14-19

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

When I got home,
HIVE ACCOUNT
@silvertop
asked me if I wanted to go get a coffee.

Yesterday I took a couple of cups of coffee as well, even though the winter season is over.

I have two thoughts on coffee; well maybe three. I take an iced coffee, 48 ounces to work each day. During the winter, I prefer hot coffee at home or if we go to a coffee shop. However, in the summer, going to a coffee shop means a mocha frappe which is almost like a coffee milkshake! I'll drink hot in the summer at home, but in air conditioning, lol!

Take care and enjoy the coffee!

The magnolia tree is very pretty. I do wonder though as the blossoms are so big as the petals are as well, that when they fall, you almost might have to rake the petals up as one would rake leaves in the fall. Otherwise, I think they might would mold on the ground. I am glad people plant them, but I don't think I'd have one in the yard unless it was on the outer perimeter of the yard, almost in the woods, if you will.

Thanks for stopping by @babygirl888! Take care and enjoy your day! !LADY
