You’re A Star! 🌟………My Actifit Report Card: February 23 2025

Our morning began at church with awesome worship and a fantastic sermon!

Once back home, a few chores and then off to Costco to pick up the 12 6 volt golf cart batteries we’d ordered back in January. The weather here has not been conducive to hauling 12 batteries home; first rain, then snow and now back to rain again. However, today dawned partly cloudy and it held until around 3:30. Fortunately, it allowed enough time to get them, stop for a coffee, get home and offload them into the garage where they are protected. These batteries are replacing our old ones in our solar battery bank that died just after Christmas. We’ve been running strictly on grid power. I don’t like paying the utility company more than we need to, and with the solar down, I suspect our bill will not be to my liking! See @silvertop’s post for pictures.

When we stopped for coffee, the barista making them was in an exceptional mood, and wrote a message on each of our cups. She really seemed happy- not ‘fake’ happy either! 😃 ☕️

When we arrived home, I started a load of laundry, did a little Amazon shopping and then rode the stationary bike as it was beginning to rain. @silvertop braved the weather and went for a short hike.

I see tomorrow with chores mostly. Nothing exciting is planned. The rain is forecast to continue through Tuesday. In addition, they’ve thrown in a wind advisory to go along with that. Gusts projected at 45-50 MPH. 😏🙄 With all the rain we’ve been having, I’ve begun monitoring the river level. This morning, it was just under 80’ with flood stage being 83’. Keep in mind, it went up 3’ overnight! 😳 It’s headed back down now, but with all this rain and super warm temperatures up in the mountains, there will be additional runoff from snowmelt as well, which could impact how quickly it rises. Fingers crossed 🤞 it behaves!
