Pretty! 🤩………My Actifit Report Card: February 15 2025

Happy Caturday everyone! 😻

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day and @silvertop gave me some beautiful and good smelling roses! 🌹 Very pretty and now in a vase up high in the bedroom to keep our furry children from eating them! They just love Baby’s Breath and whatnot! 🙀

Speaking of furry children, it is after all, Caturday, so in celebration of furry felines everywhere, here a couple pictures of Cyle relaxing by the side of the wood stove.

Doesn’t that furry belly just beg to be rubbed? At your own risk! Cyle will only let me and just for a few seconds before he will get up and move. Affection is definitely on his terms lol!

Then there’s Cot, who is a complete opposite of Cyle. He can’t get enough of being rubbed!

After sleeping in much later than we should have and getting some things done quickly around the house, we headed to town for a short shopping trip and then to try out a local coffee shop. We stopped at the newest location of the Woods coffee shop in Lynden. I didn’t take but a couple of photos but their ambiance is rustic and woodsy with wood and black iron for tables plus a gas fireplace (see @silvertop’s post for a picture of that) and local photography lithographs on the walls. Very nice-actually better than Starbucks ambiance. I ordered my mocha and asked for 190 degrees. They told me their machine will stop frothing automatically at 180. Disappointed at that, I went ahead and ordered anyway as we were there. Interestingly enough, their 180 degree mocha was more like 190+ which tells me Starbucks equipment must be off. This Woods coffee shop is new so it would have new equipment.

However, it’s been years since I’ve had a hot coffee from the Woods. I never cared for them as the coffee always tasted old (stale) and slightly burned. I am sad to say that has not changed. I prefer their mocha frappes though. So, I won’t go back for a hot coffee again. 😔

Here’s a lovely chandelier from there. I want one of these!

There were about a half a dozen of similar shots on the walls. Great ambiance; not so great coffee.

It’s raining for the first time in quite a while. It is melting the remaining snow but not as quickly as one might think.

At least it’s a bit warmer!
