Wanna Play?…….My Actifit Report Card: January 19 2025

Phoenix was on an adventure! It’s ice fishing season and she was headed over to eastern Washington to compete in an ice fishing derby! That meant a stay over at a local motel where she was obviously eager to play Yahtzee! See the anticipation on her face?

It was fairly cold but brilliantly sunny. She doesn’t look like she’s having much fun , poor girl!

She’s one tired girl after all that fishing!

Today saw us heading to church in colder weather than we’ve been having. It was 24 degrees Fahrenheit. Church was awesome as usual. Once finished, we headed for home. It still had not warmed up much. 🥶

I had decided today, to take down the Christmas tree along with outlying decorations. It was time. I miss the extra light from the tree for sure. I am glad it’s all put away for another year.

Despite the cold, this little amazing specimen is thriving! If you can zoom the phot, do so-it’s pretty amazing!

'Shrooms do well in the cool weather and moss absolutely loves January and February because of the rain. They look their best during this time.

'Shrooms tend to do best in fall and spring, but we've not had super cold weather yet, although it's been trying this week. We might see some time with no 'shrooms in the near future. We will have to wait and see.

Phoenix is actually our grand-dog whom we dearly love. She is unique in her breed as she is a cross between a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Dachshund! She has the head of the two mixes; the body of the Dachshund and a ridge that runs along her spine which you can see when she's on alert, that is typical of the Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is indeed, a special girl! She goes hunting with our son and she loves to fish. She just wasn't enjoying the 9 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures. Thank you for reading!! !LUV

Wow, 24 degrees is pretty chilly!😳 Glad to hear church was awesome as usual. Taking down the Christmas tree can be bittersweet, right? It definitely makes the room feel a bit darker without those twinkling lights. But hey, at least everything is all packed away neatly for next year!

They did catch one fish, but not the usual for them, for sure. Maybe the fish were cold?

I am glad the decorations are down now, although you are right, it is bittersweet. I added a pole lamp to offset the loss of light from the tree. It helps.
