Me, Myself, And I………My Actifit Report Card: August 19 2024

Happy Monday…..I guess! 😏

Today found me at work on a day when I’m normally not. The bonus was that it was a fairly quiet day with a couple of exceptions. I sold about 5 pairs of glasses and some contacts. So a mini rush of sorts.

The afternoon saw me working on EOB’s. Medicare usually mails them except this year they didn’t-and then they did! I had gone onto the website when I realized earlier this year, that they weren’t being mailed. Then, all of a sudden, I had a ton come in the mail, most all duplicates of what I’d gone and printed from the website. All that postage they could have saved! 🙄

The rest of the afternoon was moving right along until a patient came about 40 minutes before closing. She proceeded to ask some questions about her insurance ( from last year) and then began trying on frames. After about 20 minutes, I asked her how it was going and gently reminded her I close at 5. At quarter to, I asked if she had planned to purchase today. She said yes, so I ran to check her insurance eligibility.

At 10 to 5, I was measuring and writing up the order. I took payment and she left. That left me with 30+ frames to clean! Ugh! The sad thing is 80% of the frames were just like the ones she ordered.

Yesterday was our church’s picnic. I don’t have but a couple of pics from it, but this was the highlight for the kids and entertainment for the adults!

We were fed well (maybe too well) and a good time was had by all!
