Looking Like Fall?……My Actifit Report Card: July 22 2024

Looking like fall? This is only the last few days of July! Every year, fall like leaves begin dropping from the trees, but usually, it’s in August, not July! The gal that hikes with us, Jan, said she’s heard we might be in for it this fall and winter, weather wise. I don’t however know if that means an early fall. I’ve seen the rains begin as early as mid August, and when that happens, it’s an indication that the fall season has begun. I’ve also seen summer last well into October heading into November before. So for now, it’s a toss of the dice! It is sort of nice to think of cooler days though today has been the epitome of the perfect summer day! Perfect temps with a good breeze blowing and less humid! Perfect!

Today saw us headed once again to town to get the portland cement that Home Depot was out of yesterday. That also saw us at Walmart for some cheap oil to oil the boards that form up the concrete forms for easier removal once cured. Of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a mocha frappe, so we headed to the Woods Coffeehouse to order. Inside, I found a cute little display of inside plants.

I took another for detailing of the kitty planter.

We set out for home which turned out to be an adventure to itself as the county has decided to close multiple main line streets heading our way, for construction or upgrades? Who knows what they’re doing, anyway, which left us snaking through roads less traveled by us. No pics as I was driving, but it was a nice change of scenery.

We did go for a short hike. Here’s some eye candy from today.

@silversaver888, I have finally succeeded in planting a rose bush that didn’t wither and die! What’s more is it started blooming and has about 8 more rosebuds on it as well! The flowers aren’t super big but they are very fragrant and smell lovely!

I can’t wait for the other buds to bloom!

I found Cyle once again in a seriously stretched out sleeping position this afternoon.

He must feel the need to ‘hang on’ while sleeping! Get a load of those claws!

The day is winding down and the breeze is still blowing steadily. Should make for a lovely night for sleeping!
