Definition:……..My Actifit Report Card: June 17 2024

Definition: June-uary: when the month of June mimics January in the Pacific Northwest!

Yep folks, we got us a full blown June-uary going on! No worries though as on Wednesday, it’ll blow this right out and bake us with 30 degree warmer temperatures! We go through this quite often anymore. It’s rainy and 20-30 degrees cooler than it should be for June. What’s worse is that when the switch is finally thrown, it usually puts us into temperatures found in the month of July! We get zero easing into warmer weather! Oh no-we just jump from the frying pan into the fire! 🙄 Then on the backside of it, summer temps stay until often October when we are more than ready for fall! Craziness! 🤪

As you can tell from the first pic and this next one, that’s the weather situation here.

We slept in; I apparently needed it. We needed to roast coffee and also take the truck to get lumber for a project. After discussing what could be done on Tuesday, we’ve decided to roast the coffee tomorrow after I get home from Bible study and ship it accordingly. Off to Home Depot we went!

Of course I have to look at the flowers!

We got what we needed and headed for home via Starbucks for a coffee. Since I’ve been working so much over the past few months, so of that went for coffee we might normally not have bought. So I suspect that soon we will forego so many trips. I’ve noticed this weekend past that they increased their prices a little. 😏

We went later in the afternoon for a hike. Jan came with. We were almost at the end of the road when we heard some goats bleating. We kept going only to turn and look back to discover that we had gained three hiking partners, one for each of us! The goats found us and very much wanted to come with! Jan and I took them back to the house and I knocked on the door. The guy came out and offered goats treats to them, but we had no sooner got to the road again as they came running to come with, lol! I didn’t think he’d get them corralled at all! See @silvertop’s post for some pics. I told them on the return trip, no talking, sneezing, coughing or clearing of throats, nor conversation until we were well past them. I figured they’d just as soon come home with us as well!
