Don’t Eat The Granola…..My Actifit Report Card: December 16 2023

My phone rang last night and it said ‘scam likely’. So I sent it directly to voicemail. A few minutes later, it showed I had a new message. I clicked on it, and since my phone transposes, I was able to read. It was an automated call from Costco talking about some granola we’d bought possibly being contaminated with salmonella. I then went looking through my email to also find one from Costco stating the same thing. I’d bought the granola to sprinkle on yogurt, but had not gotten around to opening the double package of it. I suppose that was for the best given the contamination! So, began our journey of last minute Christmas shopping and a trip to Costco that I really didn’t want to take. Who goes to Costco the week before Christmas and on a Saturday to boot? Only crazy people! 🤪

We got there and the place was packed except for returns. That was nice. Since we were there, we went ahead and jumped into the sea of humanity in the store. There were several things I needed and we soon discovered it was the best samples day we’d seen! I don’t generally partake but was hungry as I’d run off with no food today. They had Italian meatballs, baby sausage links, crescent rolls and chocolate truffles plus ice cream. We didn’t get any of the ice cream as the gal doing that sample seemed over protective and honestly, there were many vultures 🤣🤣🤣 waiting to descend! I watched whole families move from sample to sample with a gleam in their eye! It was comical!

After we left, I needed a coffee, so we headed to our favorite Starbucks to partake. Here’s some scenery along the way.

We’ve been getting stunning sunsets lately and today’s was no exception.

I believe we are finished with shopping. Now, all I have to do is figure out how I’m going to wrap all of this! 😏🎁🎄
