It's Monday Again........My Actifit Report Card: October 9 2023
It’s Monday again! There used to be a song-Rainy Days and Mondays -always gets me down. (The Carpenters) Today was both Monday and rainy. It’s not been the best day for us as we’ve had to deal some stuff that’s emotionally draining regarding other people. 😏
It also was the day I needed to roast coffee for a customer. So after a quick trip to town and the pumpkin stand, I got started. Since keeping an eye on the roasting is a must, I spent my time in between cleaning the roasters between batches and bagging the coffee, pacing the house. After it was all done, I boxed it up to ship and we hopped into the car to take it to the post office. Little did I know, it was a postal holiday and the place was locked up! What really added to the confusion was seeing several mail trucks out on route delivering! Huh? I’m guessing the deliveries were Amazon as their stuff does tend to deliver outside the norm. 🧐 So, back home we came and once settled, I decided to do a VR workout. 😅 You get hotter and you sweat more than you think you would!!

OMG that giant white mushroom looks so awesome as if it is a giant umbrella or some thing may be you did too much zoom on it cause I have not seen such a gigantic mushroom in my life haha.
LOL! I shot it at ground level and did a some zoom to try to get detail. It was around 3-4" in diameter on the top. It was an interesting specimen! !LOLZ

How long does it usually take to roast a batch of coffee?
With the two roasters we have, about 13 minutes for one pound. They are commercial table top roasters and only roast a pound at a time. Other time consumption is cleaning between each roasting as the beans put out a smoke that has a tar like stickiness to it that needs to be wiped down between each roast. Plus, there's coffee chaff that needs to be removed for the chaff arrestors as well. 4 pounds takes total, around and hour and half to roast.☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
