TGIF! It’s been a busy, busy week and productive as well! I had a lot of stuff going on; a lot of it working with the local tribe. Lots to learn and manage and organize. It’s going to take a bit of coordination of my time, but I think it will be interesting.
We are still under a flood watch and if you check out @silvertop’s post from today, you can see a local waterway called Swift Creek. This creek flooded last November wiping out a house on its banks. It’s got naturally occurring asbestos which adds an environmental safety issue as well. This is not the main river, but I’ve seen this go from a small trickle to a raging torrent of water!
Now, the wind is kicking up-topping us off with a high wind warning to go along with the flood watch! It might be enough to make folks a bit whacky! 😜🤪

The dog in this photo is Phoenix who joins us for 3+ weeks beginning tomorrow. Our kitties 🐈⬛ don’t really know what a doggie 🐶 is! Could get interesting around here!
Well, that’s gonna be it for now. I’m hoping for a hike this weekend sometime but the forecast doesn’t look promising. Maybe Monday. Anyway, enjoy your weekend and please continue to 🙏 for 🇺🇦

I heard about the rain there. I wipe it won't be as bad as it was during the flood a year ago? Can't see the photos, same with Silver.
There was an issue with the photos on this day for most of the actifitters. Fortunately, the rains did let up, but now we've been plunged into much colder weather than anticipated! Winter with no warning, lol!

Glad the rain stopped. Silver said it was 4 degrees but it's not the lowest temperature yet.
Very true! What made it so tough this time around was the blowing wind. It made the chill factor 10-15 degrees colder than the actual temperature!
Really? Silver said you had a bad storm.
Nor'easters are always bad because they always blow and howl for hours on end bringing with it cold arctic air and sometimes snow or ice. It makes you want to hunker down by the fire; have a mocha and get a book and don't move until it's over!
That's difficult. What's important is your house is safe during strong winds.
We pray for the trees to remain upright!
That's what I'm thinking as Silver told me about the height of the trees. I was stunned.
