Busy Little Bees🐝🐝🐝........ Actifit Report Card: August 27 2022

The bees were everywhere! Before we get to that, my day started off nice and easy. No real schedule to keep and we slept 🛌 in a little. It was nice. Then it was a couple quick things for chores that needed doing and a couple crypto things. When those were finished, we headed out as @silvertop needed a couple gallons of paint and I figured while we were out, I’d grab some things that were forgotten last time or that were newly added to the list.
We wound up here:
While shopping 🛒 I wanted to go out to the garden center and see if there were any mums yet. Ironically, I did find some that were clearanced out and I found some lovely Blackeye Susans. I do believe every bee 🐝 in the county were on these flowers. I took so many pics of them so here’s a couple.
If you look 👀 closely at their bellies, you can see the yellow pollen just coating them!🐝🐝🐝
After selecting my flowers, we finished up and headed to Winco, a cost effective grocery store 🏬 that we’ve not been to for about 3+ months. In comparison to my little local grocer, I realize once again, as much as we might not want to go into Bellingham all the time, it might be worthwhile to try to save those ‘on the way home from work’ stops at the local one, and hit Winco once in a while.
Tomorrow brings us headed to church ⛪️. Then there will be a bit of gardening 👩🌾 to do.

I know how it goes about the shopping— we live in the middle of nowhere with one (very) small store nearby. We have to drive 30 mins to get to a small WallyWorld, and an hour to get to Sam’s/Costco. Hate going to town, but man, the selection and savings are so much better!
I understand! It's about 40 minutes to Walmart for us and another 20 or so to Costco. We generally try to go once per month, but lately, it seems we are needing stuff we don't purchase all the time. Winco is between the two in distance. Marathon shopping though, is tiring! Take care and thanks for stopping by!

I don't know if Blackeyed Susans are of the sunflower family, but I definitely see the resemblance. Maybe that's why I like them so much! Where these flowers were for sale, there were no beehives unless they were in the surrounding woods of this store. There were so many of them! My husband stays far away from bees because as a kid, he was allergic to them. He constantly tells me I'm going to get stung, but for some reason, they don't sting me. Maybe.....now hornets......those are another thing altogether! I've been stung once by one of them and another time, stung 3 times by the same one! It's painful. The scary thing is if they feel threatened, they will release pheromones and 'call in the calvary' to help attack it's prey! Fortunately, in both instances that didn't happen, but the danger was definitely there! Take care sis!🤗💜. !LADY

Nice to see so many bees, they've been very much absent this winter, we usually see them year round!
It's funny how hard it is to break old habits, especially shopping. We have a really nice fresh produce market that also sells most basic foods, plus their prices are good, but as they're not along the route we take, we don't often go there yet it's just an extra 5 min away!
