Today was a typical busy day for me at the clinic. Lots of people needing attention and not enough of me to go around! 😏
I sold a lot of glasses today which is great for the clinic and for the patients as well. They will get their new glasses soon!
Upon conclusion of the day, I went to the library 📚 to pick up a book 📕 I’d ordered, went to the grocery store 🏬 for some needed items and opted for the gas ⛽️ station as opposed to the post office 🏤 because I was just that low on fuel!
I’ve got a pot of mixed beans 🫘 in the Instantpot which will be done in about an hour or so. Yummy!
Tomorrow is a me, myself and I type of day, so I’m glad for that. Here’s some eye 👁 candy 🍭 for your viewing pleasure!

It is! They are a little slow to grow this year. Usually in the spring, they are everywhere with all kinds of variety. I am anxiously waiting to see if the the Indian Ghost Pipes grow this year. They are very cool looking and the conditions need to be just right. If they do, I will post pics, but it will probably be in June before I can determine if the conditions were right or not. What do you sell glasses for in a hospital?
Hey there! No, I work in a privately owned Optometric shop. There is the doctor, his mother and myself. I am the licensed optician. He does the exams; I help patients choose frames, make recommendations on lenses, treatments, etc, and order the glasses or contacts. I also do all the insurance billing and verification, order frames for the frame boards and generally do everything that needs doing! His mom mostly answeres the phone when she is there and greets folks. I work by myself on Thursdays, and on Fridays, it's just me and the doc, so I run the front end and the back end. Sometimes, it's a bit crazy, but I do really like my job! Watching people really see for the first time- the difference between green fuzzy things and leaves on trees is amazing!😎👍👀
