Today was a busy day at the clinic! We were booked solid until the last one canceled due to sudden illness. Hoping for a quick and uneventful recovery.
Once again, it literally poured rain ☔️ ☔️☔️🌧🌧🌧 all day long! I noticed a few days ago that the Trumpeter Swans are back. They winter here every year and utilize the low lying cornfields as auxiliary ponds and nesting areas. They are pretty cool to watch and also hear as they call out while flying in V formation! 🦢
I ran by the post office on the way home from work. Once at home, I made @silvertop a Nog-la (eggnog latte) and an Irish Cream mocha for myself. Now it’s on to the crypto world.
Tomorrow brings the router issues at work, a frame rep and a doubleheader first timer training. It should be an interesting day.

LOL! I could say yes, but you see, he's VERY shy! When anyone even knocks on the door, he's gone for hours until he is sure the coast is clear! Silly boy!😽😸💕🤗

It's funny how cats often love smaller boxes, no matter how ridiculous it may make them look! I think maybe they're saying "Hey look at me, I too have a sense of humour!" lol

As for Christmas, yes, it's coming. I try not to get 'in the mood for Christmas' too soon as years ago when I worked retail at a big box store, I would get sooooo burned out by the time Christmas arrived. I was so happy to step away from that and deal with optical. I now work for a private practice and there is no Christmas rush. Burn out doesn't happen nearly quite so much. I actually listened to a little Christmas music this morning at work, but didn't stay there for more than about 30 minutes.

Yeah they're so funny! But hey they like boxes, nothing wrong with that! My cousin & I would get the BIG TV boxes when we were kids and make them into 'houses' with windows, door and battery operated lights & doorbell!!! lol
So you work at an opticions, that's a very decent job! I'm glad you won't get burned out this Christmas. Here it's still a little early for Christmas, I haven't seen any decorations anywhere yet and only one department store has a Christmas TV commercial so far. Here it kicks off properly in December and lasts until the around the 10th of January as here we celebrate the 3 Kings too on the 6th of January! 🎄

The way you describe your Christmas season is how it used to be in the US. Unfortunately, that isn't the case any longer. Sometimes, early is okay and sometimes not; just depends on my mood, I suppose.

Yes I can imagine! Now it's sell, sell, sell! It's becoming the same in Europe too, but maybe now that climate change is finally being taken seriously, hopefully consumerism will soon be curbed!
