Escribir tarde, a las diez u once porque no da tiempo para nada y te sientes frustrado porque querías escribir sobre algo y surge esto, un intento de escritura fugaz sumado a tus deudas y necesidades económicas que no te dejan pensar con claridad.

Escribir sobre la conversación con alguien que aspira a ser escritor y darle consejos de escritura que ni tú sigues porque lo que escribes ni siquiera es tan bueno como para publicarlo; entonces le hablas de Hemingway, Chejov, Quiroga, Stephen King, Orson Card; también hablas del viaje del héroe y de la morfología del cuento de Propp sin tener tú mismo la mínima idea de lo que estás diciendo.

Marchas a casa después de un largo día. Te sientas a pensar qué vas a escribir y te ocupas de otras cosas. Tu esposa llega a casa, tú y ella hablan sobre lo que sucedió durante el día, lo que hicieron ambos y sobre anécdotas: que si la señora que gritaba mucho fue dada de alta o que la señora Julita sigue sufriendo en su cama y que nadie vela por ella; de lo nerviosa que estaban todos en el hospital... Hablar del precio del dólar, y cuando por fin te sientas a escribir con algo en mente, se va la luz y quedas desconcertado.

Entonces no escribes. Te caes del sueño y tecleas lo que salga un poco al azar para tratar de llenar ese vacío profundo, que me atrapa y me devora y me lleva lejos, muy lejos, en la intemperie.
