Blaues Wunder / Blue wonder in Dresden/ Germany

My inline skate track ended here because of the cobblestones way, what here started...
Anyhow, this is a beautiful part of Dresden, where Schiller, the famous German poet lived for a short time.
The bridge's name is Blue Wonder.. Because of its construction method (bridge without a pillar). This was very originally that time (1893). that was of the first bridges with this method in Europe.
Meine heutige Inliner Route endete hier, weil der Elbradweg ab hier ein Stück mit Kopfsteinpflaster bedeckt ist. Das fand ich aber gar nicht schlimm, weil ich wieder mal andere Perspektive genossen konnte. Die Gegend ist auch sehr schön, hier lebte Schiller auch eine Weile.
Die Brücke heißt Blaues Wunder, da die Bauweise damals wirklich bewundert wurde. Diese Brücke war eine der ersten in Europa, die ohne Brückenpfeiler im Wasser gebaut wurden.
Funny, but neither is the bridge blue, nor a wonder anymore. I find still beautiful.
Lustig, aber heute ist die Brücke weder blau, noch besonders. Ich finde die trotzdem wunderschön.
