People are upset that people at UFC event in Florida behave like people from Florida
So I didn't even watch the event and I don't know who almost all of the people in the articles they reference actually are but I do know who Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis are and I also know that both of these people are very popular in Florida.
So when a fighter named Jorge Masvidal praised Donald Trump after his fight (which he lost) and made a short political speech about how Trump is the "Greatest President ever on Earth" the crowd went wild..... in Florida.
The Twitterverse and the MSM immediately went on the offensive, just like you would expect.

Apparently, DJT was in attendance at at big UFC event in Miami and sat next to UFC president Dana White, Chris Rock, and Mike Tyson. The crowd went nuts when he arrived and when he was put on the jumbotron and this shouldn't be surprising to anyone seeing as how the demographics of something like UFC, especially in Florida, is probably going to be heavily conservative.
I don't like when celebrities use their time on the microphone in order to further some sort of social or political agenda, but this is exactly what Jorge Masvidal did and the crowd unsurprisingly, loved it.
Social media went wild immediately with people saying that it was "disgusting" that Jorge would use his position to further a political agenda, but I would be willing to bet that these same people probably didn't have a problem when celebrities were publicly saying BAD things about Trump.
The MSM felt compelled to cover this story but they did so in as negative a light as is possible if they were a liberal organization, and as positively as possible if they were conservative.
The Independent, which is about as independent-oriented publication as a fish is a goose, made their article extremely short and spent most of the time talking about things unrelated to the event at all. Instead they focused on how he is facing 34 felony charges.
Fox News of course loved that this happened, and you don't even need to read the article in order to know what their reaction was. They also included a video with it just to help further nail the point home.

Liberals already hate Kid Rock for his involvement with Trump and it will be interesting to see if they now turn on Mike Tyson simply for sitting in the same ringside area as the two of them. Masvidal of course is getting trashed by people on twitter who are liberal, and praised by people on Twitter who are conservative. What a massive surprise! Dana White, the president of UFC has been a vocal supporter of Trump since he ran back in 2016. I recall him turning up for events that I saw clips of and how the media and Twitter world tried to do hit pieces on White for doing so... I guess they didn't realize that a majority of the UFC audience is likely very conservative themselves. You can't cancel something like this even though I am sure they tried!
Looking into it a bit further. I don't know why anyone would be surprised that Masvidal would say these sorts of things because as it turns out he has been a long-time supporter of DJT. I would also be willing to bet that most of the people that are reacting the strongest towards this in either direction, probably didn't even watch it and are not fans of the sport.
I got news for everyone out there in the Twitterverse. People in conservative states behave like conservatives and they tend to like conservative politicians. I know this might come as a shock to you but it is true all across the country.
