So Fresh, So Clean -- Actifit Report Card: February 10, 2025

Monday, I was back at school teaching and back in the flow with 10K steps! The school day was ordinary, but I was able to stack up some extra steps after school. I had an appointment with my dental cleaning service for a monthly cleaning, which meant a bus trip across Brooklyn to Williamsburg.

I love the feeling of getting my teeth cleaned, and I love the feeling of clean teeth even more. They don't use any metal picks for the cleaning, instead using high-power water spray to blast the plaque off my teeth. I was so happy to get the dental dam out of my mouth to run my tongue over my smooth teeth.

For a little treat on my way home, I stopped by one of the best pizzarias in NYC -- L'industrie. You can see a few of their specialty pies on the counter, but I always get the fig & bacon slice + and the namesake slice with burrata and prosciutto. Delicious!!

Look at that big spike of steps after school. That was me walking to and from the bus to the appointment. Even though our air quality is kind of trash, I do enjoy getting to walk and take public transit all around town. I definitely wouldn't be getting nearly as many steps if I had a car to drive. But despite all the steps, I'm still not getting as much of a workout as I would like. That needs to change, but time is on my side. Until next time...
