On A Roll -- Actifit Report Card: December 8, 2024

Sunday morning was all about my Chelsea FC and its London Derby against Tottenham. Despite falling down 2 goals in the first 15 minutes, Chelsea responded in a big way. They got one back before halftime and then scored 3 in the 2nd half before Tottenham got one back.

Huge win away from home 4-3, moving Chelsea into 2nd place all by themselves ahead of Arsenal and Man City. They only trail Liverpool by 4 points, although the Reds have a game in hand.

In a jolly mood after the big win, I convinced my party to throw on a jacket and take a sunny walk around the neighborhood despite the colder weather. It was nice to get out in the sun finally! Because I teach early in the morning until sundown during the winter months, I barely get any sun during the week.

You can see the big spike in steps during the afternoon hours. Thank goodness I got that walk in, or I never would have kept my 10K step streak. But here I am, a full week of 10K, and I'm feeling great. I ate a ton of fruit all weekend and am very much looking forward to citrus season!

I spent the final hours of the weekend helping my partner organize some of our office storage to clean things up before the end of the year. It feels good to get rid of a lot of the clutter. We're ready to start the new week strong! Until next time...

Yep great Chelsea match, Palmer and Sancho are on fire.
My team didn't have the same success, losing at home to Marseille. Saint Etienne is not the team it used to be 😥

Marseille has to be one of the stronger teams in the French league outside of PSG. I remember a young Drogba leading them to the UEFA cup final before coming to claim his throne in London.

What a player Drogba is... he even spent a season in Montreal at the end of his career.

And now he is a part owner of the soccer team in Phoenix, AZ!

I think the most impressive thing on his resume was ending the civil war in his home country after pleading with the people in a moving speech after winning the Africa Cup of Nations for Cote D'Ivoire. Amazing man he is!
