Tasty Bushwick -- Actifit Report Card: October 18, 2024

The weather was absolutely perfect when I stepped out of my apartment at 7am to walk to school Friday morning. I knew it was going to be a good day. I did not make it up from my power nap. I few friends said the Koan Sound show was a vibe. Oh well...

I even stepped in for my 6th grade science teacher who was late for her 1st period and got to show the Magic School Bus about insulating heat with animal blubber. In the episode, the students use a blubberator, a gun to spray themselves with animal to stay warm.

After the episode, I asked the class if there was a word for blubberator in Spanish. Some students thought long and hard, then shook their heads. I had to let em all know a blubberator wasn't a real thing in English either. The show can be a little silly but also pretty smart. Anyways, more street art!!!

Bushwick, Brooklyn really do be doing the most with the wall space. Without club plans, my partner and I walked for a nice French meal because she was craving the cheesy onion soup. I couldn't say no to a creamy steak tartar. The baked cheese was mids, although delightfully stanky for a Camembert.

After dinner, I was too full for Illegal Yoga, but it kind of sounds fun and dangerous, so maybe I'll have to try again next time. Saturday is going to be an adventure upstate to enjoy the autumn foliage, so I am excited to share some pictures of the leaves changing colors for the season. Until next time...
