Tragic Kingdom -- Actifit Report Card: October 15, 2024
It was nice to see my students again after a 3-day weekend that felt like forever. This art on the side of the bodega by my school always makes me chuckle. Look at the funny names they use for the knock-off brands in the picture that are supposed to be Dr. Pepper and Doritos. Plus, they even include a QR code, but I couldn't get it to scan.
The tragedy (minor I know) was that I fell 18 steps short of 10K. If I had checked my fitbit before bed, I would have done a quick minute of high knees to get my step count over the threshold. As it is, I'm still doing about 20 flights of stairs everyday, and with my after-school activity, I'm in the building until 5.30pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
I got home a bit after 6 and felt exhausted. I made some dinner for my partner and I before doing some lesson planning before bed. It's been WAY too long since I did any type of workout besides walking and dancing all night on the weekend. Once I lock in some better dietary habits with the nutritionist my insurance is paying for, I'll get back in the rhythm of a few strong workouts every week. Until next time...
