Slowing Down -- Actifit Report Card: October 5, 2024

Wow, life in the suburbs sure slowed down. While taking care of my mom, I need to stay close to home as she works up her lung capacity during the healing process. I also get to take care of her numerous plants around the house. The cover picture caught my eye because of the fresh flowers, but she also has a plant in the house that she received as a gift when she gave birth to me over 40 years ago!

We took a few walks up and down the private road in her small condo complex and even visited a friend of hers (a federal district court judge) for a Shabbat lunch. We mostly just hung out in the house (and outside in the sun) while catching up and welcoming guests. I stayed up until midnight watching soccer highlights and jamming Splinterlands battles. Not even 5K steps. Oy Vey! Until next time...
