BooHoo! Whenever I see mascots or "characters in masks and costumes," the first thing I think about is the people inside. Those bulky, often awkward costumes, with oversized heads and masks, must be so uncomfortable . The heat, the discomfort, especially on a warm day—sounds like a claustrophobic experience! Sure, I get it if it's for kids' entertainment, but that’s not the case here. There’s a theatre festival in town, and these masked figures just wander around a park, performing outdated dances. I honestly don’t understand the point.

Interesting........but I'd have to agree with you. However, maybe the individual gets satisfaction in doing something demanding, and it might give them the opportunity, if they are performance oriented, to do their version of 'acting'.

There's got to be a reason they would put up with claustrophobic conditions and excessive heat!
