A local fair or festival that happens every year, mainly to showcase pottery traditions and crafts. Even though I have no interest in or use for any of this clay pottery, there's something that stands apart from the rest of the country: black pottery. Also, the boots made of clay looked interesting, but I'm not sure how they would work if anyone tried to use them for walking. :)))

The coloring happens in the kiln/oven, its the burning technique and the smoke that gives the black color.

Very interesting!😊
Back in high school I used an electric kiln in art class. The temperature of the Kiln was controlled by the teacher, so we never had opportunity to get more creative during the firing process….🙄

Absolutely…… It was kind of a hands off, put your pottery in the kiln and we will let you know when it’s ready to take out Lol😇

Very interesting. They might could be called dust catchers and some would enjoy the decorative aspects of them. However a fair is a good excuse to get out and see! 😁
