Personally, having built houses from the ground up, I understand all the hard work that goes into this type of design. This guy spent numerous hours laboriously carving all the designs on this house. I give him credit he’s got more energy than I would have had, even at 20 years old Lol!😅
Still, it’s a little bit over-the-top for a house that I would build!😇😀

Probably the winter was long and he/they had plenty of free time to do all the work, just to keep busy. Many people in that area years ago didn't even have electricity, so imagine :))

Wow! A tremendous amount of detail work going on there! Either the builder was a serious artisan with no time constraints, or the builder wanted a home that reminded him of home. Either way, or some other way, it's definitely a dedication of love of craft!

The thing is that there's more than one house with this type of design in that area, maybe they had something like a contest who makes the most complicated design :))
