M-Sport Confirms Their 2025 WRC Line Up

Hi rally fans :)!

M-Sport has officially revealed their 2025 World Rally Championship driver line up, and it’s a mix of youth, ambition, and potential growth. Grégoire Münster and Josh McErlean will be behind the wheel of the Ford Puma Rally1 for the full season.

After a full WRC season in 2024 with M-Sport, Belgian driver Grégoire Münster is continuing with them in 2025 too. Although last season he didn’t have any wins or podiums and it was learning focused, his effort and adaptability made him an obvious candidate to stay (thanks to the guy that pays for his seat too😁). Me and the whole rally community don’t think he’s for a Rally1 car but oh well.. if you know, you know.

However;

Joining Münster is a very talented 25-year-old Irish driver Josh McErlean, who switched from WRC2 to WRC1 machinery. Supported by Motorsport Ireland, McErlean secured the necessary things to get a full Rally1 season (finishing ninth overall with one podium and three stage wins - better than Münster😂). His promotion to Rally1 marks a significant change and his goal for 2025 will be a steady progression, gaining experience, and proving he belongs among the WRC elite.

Both drivers are just 25 years old (what am I doing with my life, they’re just 2 years older than me🫠), represent M-Sport’s strategic focus on nurturing young talent. The team’s strategy focuses on long-term growth, allowing Münster and McErlean to develop their skills through consistent competition in the top class.

In addition to Münster and McErlean, there’s still potential for Mārtiņš Sesks to join M-Sport on a part-time basis. The team is also exploring options for other drivers to participate in select events.
*Could’ve given him a whole season.. he showed that he’s capable for it😠..

This line-up might not get them a Manufacturer title or a driver title, but it showcases the spirit of rallying — hard work, perseverance, and a belief in the potential of the next generation. Let’s see what these future stars can achieve!
