Maignan seguía manteniendo su arco sin goles con notables intervenciones, convirtiéndose en el principal responsable del 0-0.

De una muy buena manera el Napoli inicio el partido que hasta los primeros 20' mantendría una alta intensidad, que poco a poco fue disminuyendo para que luego el Milan aprovechara pudiendo capitalizar sus jugadas, como dice aquel dicho "Goles errados son goles en contra" los que no convirtió el visitante el local lo plasmo para irse en el primer tiempo con la ventaja a favor.
