El FC Barcelona de Hansi Flick lo ha conseguido; las semifinales son una realidad. En una jornada en la que, por momentos, se asomaron fantasmas del pasado. El Borussia Dortmund se acordó un poco tarde de presentarse en la eliminatoria, y hoy, con apenas 90 minutos por delante, han decidido dar el máximo de sus capacidades y con ello complicar al Barcelona que ha sabido sufrir en el Signal Iduna.

Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona has done it; the semifinals are a reality. On a day in which, at times, ghosts of the past loomed large. Borussia Dortmund remembered a little late to show up in the tie, and today, with just 90 minutes to go, they decided to give the maximum of their abilities and thus complicate Barcelona, who knew how to suffer at the Signal Iduna.

En el futbol no hay nada escrito, y si, es el mayor cliché utilizado en contextos del balompié (a la altura del "el dos a cero es el resultado mas engañoso en el futbol") pero son cosas ciertas, y en eliminatorias de ida y vuelta nunca hay que dejarse llevar por lo visto en la ida.
El Barca, si de noches históricas -para lo malo- se hablase, seria un protagonista top en la velada. Golpazos como los mencionados en el principio del bloque son algunos ejemplos; 9 años seguidos con eliminaciones muy duras han sido mas que suficientes para dejar en el alma de tanto jugadores como de hinchas sensaciones difíciles de explicar cuando en competencia europea se juega.
Ganar el partido de ida de manera abultada no deja la capacidad para concluir que la eliminatoria esta sentenciada, queda en el aire, siempre, esa sensación de que las cosas pueden salir mal, y últimamente la historia demuestra que efectivamente, mal sale.

In soccer there is nothing written, and yes, it is the biggest cliché used in football contexts (on a par with “two-nil is the most misleading result in soccer”) but they are true things, and in round-robin knockout matches you should never get carried away by what you saw in the first leg.
Barca, if we were talking about historic nights -for the bad-, would be a top protagonist in the evening. The blows like the ones mentioned at the beginning of the block are some examples; 9 years in a row with very tough eliminations have been more than enough to leave in the souls of both players and fans feelings that are difficult to explain when playing in European competition.
Winning the first leg in a big way does not leave the ability to conclude that the elimination is sentenced, there is always that feeling that things can go wrong, and lately history shows that indeed, things do go wrong.
FANTASMAS - GHOSTS
Sin sorpresas en el ambos cuadros titulares (salvo la inclusión de Gavi por Pedri quien descanso por rotacion) el Signal Iduna Park recibía ambas escuadras con la esperanza de que el equipo local lograra un resultado mágico, con la certeza de la improbabilidad, pero también junto a una enorme confianza de que su equipo lo intentaría. Y así fue.
El Barca, al tener la obligación de mantener el resultado y controlar los tiempos del partido, tenia mas que perder que un Dortmund que se sabia en desventaja, que con el resultado de la ida lo tenia todo cuesta arriba y no tenia esa obligación de darlo vuelta.
Mas arriba mencione algo de remontadas y fantasmas y viceversa, y en el aire había una sensación de que con un gol tempranero del Dortmund los fantasmas aparecerían. Y el gol llego.
Guirassy de penal - a lo panenka- batía a Szczęsny quien había sido encargado de cometer la pena máxima. El enorme muro amarillo -como se le conoce a la grada de animación alemana- se envalentono y con ello sus representados sobre el terreno de juego, mientras que el Barca no podía hacer su juego generado atraves de la posesión.
El segundo llegaría de nuevo por medio de Guirassy, se acrecentaba con ello, la presencia de algunos fanstamas con todo el segundo tiempo por delante, pero Bensebaini los disiparía transitoriamente al colocar al Barca con descuento en el marcador, atraves de un autogol clamoroso del Argelino. Pedri entraría posterior a ello, y el Barca empezó a tener la posesión y el control del partido. Pero los mencionados fantasmas tenían pensado seguir apareciendo. Y faltando 15 minutos mas el agregado, Guirassy pondria el 3-1 en el marcador con un regalo incomprensible de Araujo que no supo despejar la pelota de manera correcta.
Estallo el estadio, y las caras de los futbolistas transmitían un mensaje claro: la tragedia podía suceder. Pero algunos cambios en el esquema de Flick sirvieron para evitarlo y asi fue, adicional a la participación sobresaliente de Cubarsi en la defensa, siendo este determinante en los minutos finales para adelantar las líneas del equipo y disipar de manera fulminante la presencia de fantasmas en el campo y en la mente.
With no surprises in either starting line-up (except for the inclusion of Gavi for Pedri who was rested for rotation) the Signal Iduna Park welcomed both teams with the hope that the home team would achieve a magical result, with the certainty of improbability, but also with a huge confidence that their team would try. And so it was.
Barca, having the obligation to keep the result and control the tempo of the match, had more to lose than a Dortmund that knew they were at a disadvantage, that with the result of the first leg had everything uphill and had no obligation to turn it around.
Above I mentioned something about comebacks and ghosts and vice versa, and in the air there was a feeling that with an early goal from Dortmund the ghosts would appear. And the goal came.
Guirassy's penalty - Panenka-style - beat Szczęsny, who had been charged with taking the penalty. The huge yellow wall - as the German cheering crowd is known - was emboldened and with it their representatives on the pitch, while Barca could not play their game generated through possession.
The second would come again through Guirassy, thus increasing the presence of some fanstamas with the whole second half ahead, but Bensebaini would temporarily dissipate them by putting Barca with a discount on the scoreboard, through a clamorous own goal of the Algerian. Pedri would come on after that, and Barca began to have possession and control of the match. But the aforementioned ghosts were still planning to appear. And with 15 minutes left on the clock, Guirassy made it 3-1 with an incomprehensible gift from Araujo, who failed to clear the ball correctly.
The stadium exploded, and the faces of the players conveyed a clear message: tragedy could happen. But some changes in Flick's scheme served to avoid it and so it was, in addition to the outstanding participation of Cubarsi in the defense, who was decisive in the final minutes to advance the team's lines and dissipate the presence of ghosts on the field and in the mind.
CONCLUSIONES FINALES - FINAL CONCLUSIONS
El Barca ha perdido su primer partido este 2025. Es cierto que nadie quiere perder nunca, sin embargo si había un partido donde el Barca "podía" permitirse la licencia de una derrota era el día de hoy teniendo el cuenta el colchón otorgado en el partido de ida.
Es cierto que la eliminatoria, en términos completamente prácticos y literales, nunca estuvo peligrando, la razón es sencilla, el Dortmund lo mas cerca que estuvo de igualar el marcador fue teniendo la obligación de marcar dos goles. No obstante, eso no indica que no se haya pasado sudor en la eliminatoria. El Dortmund ha demostrado, con este partido de vuelta, porque fue el actual subcampeón del torneo. Honor por pelear con orgullo este segundo encuentro.
El Barca ha vuelto a unas semifinales después de 6 años, lo cual es motivo para celebrar. Es cierto que hoy no se jugo un buen encuentro, pero esto es UCL, hay que tener partidos donde se debe saber sufrir y pasarla mal, es inevitable. En ocasiones pasadas la remontada hubiera ocurrido, el día de hoy no ha sucedido.
Barca has lost its first game this 2025. It is true that nobody ever wants to lose, however if there was a game where Barca “could” afford the license of a defeat it was today considering the cushion given in the first leg.
It is true that the tie, in completely practical and literal terms, was never in danger, the reason is simple, the closest Dortmund came to equalizing the score was having the obligation to score two goals. However, that is not to say that there was no sweat in the tie. Dortmund have shown, with this second leg, why they were the current runners-up of the tournament. Honor for proudly fighting this second leg.
Barca is back in the semifinals after 6 years, which is a reason to celebrate. Bien por el Barcelona y volver a una semi de Champions luego de un tiempo. El partido de hoy no fue muy buena para los azulgranas, tal vez se confirmaron por el resultado de la ida, un 4-0 que le daba tranquilidad. Sin duda alguna se han relajado, en la tarde durante la transmisión del partido conversaba con un amigo que parece ser mas idóneo, en una eliminatoria de ida y vuelta, tratar de no sacar un resultado abultado, aunque esto parezca una tontería, ganar por goleada desembocaría en una relajación que no es conveniente. El día de hoy al Barca le ha pasado, la saco barata.

Sigue en buena senda y es llamativo que actualmente se respira un aire de inconformidad en el equipo, según cuentan algunos allegados. Considero esto un punto positivo porque a pesar de pasar a semis, tienen hambre de ganar todos los partidos y espero que ayer se haya aprendido una lección.
