Los partidos preparatorios de pretemporada siempre son interesantes; por un lado, el hecho de ser hincha hace acompañar -aun a la distancia- al equipo vaya donde vaya, y ver jugar al club de tus amores siempre es un motivo esencial para invertir 90 minutos del escaso tiempo que se tiene, y por otro lado, son los momentos en los cuales las caras nuevas hacen su primera aparición, y resulta curioso ver como se adaptan al club, al esquema táctico, y en definitiva ilusionarse o no, con los nuevos fichajes.
El caso del Barcelona, marcado por una limitada actividad en el mercado, ha sido, a comparación de la temporada pasada, bastante tranquilo en cuanto a fichajes se refiere. Posterior al finalizado caso de Messi anunciando su fichaje por el Inter de Miami, el club ha completado los fichajes de Oriol Romeu, Gundogan, Martinez y Vitor Roque -este ultimo tiene estimada su llegada para 2024- sin hacer demasiado ruido mediático. Al menos por ahora, las aguas parecen mansas.
Por el lado de Arsenal, si que ha tenido un mercado bastante portentoso, la llegada de Rice a la entidad londinense le da un plus total al mediocampo que ya luce desgastado con Partey en el mismo, y el fichaje de Havertz es absolutamente ilusionante para volver a pelear por la Premier, siendo que la ultima campaña estuvieron tan cerca de lograr el trofeo, pero nada que reprocharle al equipo de Arteta; enfrente estaba el City de Pep que termino ganando el triplete.

Xavi decidió probar (eufemismo de ultima oportunidad) a Dest en el lateral, adicional, Oriol Romeu y Gundogan debutaban. Abde, quien volvía de su fructífera cesión del Osasuna, también partía como titular. A priori, el 11 inicial del Barca parecía lo suficientemente completo como para hacerle frente al Arsenal, que por su parte, a excepción de Rice, salía con todo al campo.
Desde el primer minuto se noto la diferencia del rodaje de ambos equipos, y aquí no quiero que parezca excusa, pero el hecho de haber sido el primer partido de pretemporada para el Barca y de estar saliendo de una virosis sin duda alguna influyo en el desenlace del encuentro, pues en el campo se notarían las diferencias.
A pesar de todo lo mencionado, el Barca se pondría arriba en el marcador dos veces, Lewandowski culminaba un gran jugada de Abde, y Raphinha marcaba de tiro libre con un ligero desvio de balón en Ødegaard que descolocaba a Ramsey. Ambos goles del Barca, fueron empatados rápidamente por el Arsenal, primero Saka, aprovechando un error en defensa de Cristhensen y luego Havertz, quien solo tenia que colocar el pie para desviar un cabezazo de Trossard tras un excelente desborde de Saka que dejo muy mal parado a Marcos Alonso.
El primer tiempo fue de absoluto dominio del equipo de Arteta, mereció ir ganando por, al menos, 2 goles de diferencia, de hecho se dieron el lujo, podría decirse, de fallar un penal cuando el encuentro iba 1 a 1. Gundogan y Oriol Romeu pasaron absolutamente desapercibidos en el mediocampo. El control del Arsenal sobre la pelota, y sin ella, con presiones altas, fue abismal.
Ni hablar de las entradas, algunas de ellas innecesariamente fuertes, calentaron un poco el ambiente en California.
Para el segundo tiempo, todo el 11 del Barca fue sustituido, y con razones mas que obvias, por su parte el Arsenal continuaba con el mismo equipo en el campo.
Con Dembele y Balde en el equipo, la profundidad de los ataques fue mas amplia, en ocasiones la intensidad era mayor a la del primer tiempo, consiguiendo, con De Jong, pases al espacio y desbordes por bandas. Cuando mejor estaba el equipo llego el tercer gol del Arsenal, en una jugada absolutamente llamativa, siendo Trossard el encargado de batir a Peña, sustituto de Ter Stegen.
Barcelona no se rindió, y con disparos de Dembele y Balde al poste, la imagen del equipo fue mejor, sin embargo llegaría el cuarto gol para el Arsenal, el propio Trossard justo antes de ser sustituido marcaba tras un centro de Tierney, Ferran Torres descontaría cerca del final del partido y la ilusión del empate se acrecentaría, no obstante Fabio Viera marcaba segundos después para poner el definitivo 5 a 3 en el marcador.

He leído un montón de opiniones -respetables todas- absolutamente pesimistas. Si bien recibir 5 goles siempre es un llamado de atención, hay que tener en cuenta el contexto, lo mencionado algunos párrafos mas arriba va de la mano con esto. El Arsenal llegaba con amistosos cargados en las piernas, y un estado físico optimo. El Barcelona se suponía debía jugar el sábado y no pudo, y no todos los jugadores pudieron entrenar. Hay que entender.
Aun así, las actuación de Dest, Marcos Alonso e Iñaki Peña me parecieron paupérrimas. El estadounidense no logro ningún desborde por la banda, ningún cierre en defensa, nada. Su paso por el Milan fue nefasto, y ahora que tiene una oportunidad de nuevo la desperdicia. Marcos Alonso sufrió mucho ante Saka, debe mejorar si quiere ser el suplente de Balde. El portero no logro salvar al Barca en ninguna ocasión, ya tuvo sus oportunidades en los partidos del cierre de la Liga pasada y también aparecía en las fotos. Su nivel no parece ser el mejor.

I have read a lot of opinions -all of them respectable- absolutely pessimistic. While conceding 5 goals is always a wake-up call, you have to take into account the context, what was mentioned a few paragraphs above goes hand in hand with this. Arsenal were coming into the game with friendly games under their belts, and in peak physical condition. Barcelona was supposed to play on Saturday and could not, and not all players were able to train. That's understandable.
Even so, the performances of Dest, Marcos Alonso and Iñaki Peña seemed to me to be very poor. The American failed to make any breakthrough on the flank, no closing down in defense, nothing. His time at Milan was disastrous, and now that he has a chance again, he wastes it. Marcos Alonso suffered a lot against Saka, he must improve if he wants to be Balde's substitute. Creo que entiendo más o menos el punto de fichaje al referirse a la intensidad pasada de rosca de los jugadores del Arsenal en el partido de ayer. La verdad que por momentos me pasó al igual que los partidos del Madrid, que se concentraban mucho más en pegar y hacer el juego picante que a jugar ya que es un partido amistoso y los entrenadores necesitan sacar conclusiones acerca de sus opciones de cara a la próxima temporada. Pero bueno, también se entiende que cada jugador vela por sus propios intereses y cada quiere ganarse un puesto en el equipo así que van y luchan cada jugada al máximo.
La actuación del Barca ayer es imposible que no se vea influenciada por la reciente virosis en la que se vió sumergida el equipo. Estoy seguro de que el sábado ante el Madrid mostrarán una mejor cara ya que un clásico obviamente es otra clase de partido.

Xavi y Artera pactaron un ritmo un tanto mas bajo para el partido pero a la hora de la verdad la cosa no fue asi.
Esperemos en Este clasico un partido mucho mejor por parte de Los catalenes porque si no es asi, la goleada merengue esta garantizada.
