Ben Simmons has landed a 3 pointer. Is this the key for the 76ers?
Philadelphia 76ers' Ben Simmons has finally hit his first NBA three pointer after 838 days since he was drafted.
During Simmons' past seasons in the NBA, the Sixers' point guard has never made a 3 point shot.
Simmons was once advised by NBA legend, Kobe Bryant, about fixing his shooting form and changing it in order for him to have a shot from mid range and beyond the arc.
However, Simmons did not take the advice of changing his shooting form.
Instead, Simmons had been practicing his shooting during the summer and there have been videos about him shooting from midrange and 3 point line in practice games.
NBA legend , Charles Barkley, has also said that Simmons would be one of the best players in the NBA now if he had a jump shot.
Now, Simmons hitting a 3 pointer might be a sign that the 76ers team will be a force to be reckoned with.
Simmons will now compete with NBA stars like LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, James Harden, Stephen Curry and etc and might become a contender for the MVP next season.
If Simmons continues to have a consistent jumpshot, the 76ers might reach the NBA finals and might even win the title.
