My Actifities and daily stuff on December 1 2021
hello friends of the hive and funeral parties
Salsa music, laughter, dancing, I have not seen such a party for the dead. I would have assumed it was if I hadn't seen that white coffin out front with the top open. So man could wish the dead a good trip between dance steps, finger food and drinks in a plastic cup.
Around 1 o'clock in the morning even the police had to come and convey the wish of the residents for some peace and quiet.
However, this is not a typical Dominican funeral, but one of the Haitians.
Thus, I learned three things.
-Death celebrations can be fun
-There are a lot of Haitians, also well off, in the DomRep.
-Dominicans and Haitians tend to be skeptical of each other, which I saw in the expressions of the Dominicans here.

Hallo Freunde des Hives und Beerdigungspartys
Salsa-Musik, Lachen, Tanzen, so eine Totenfeier habe ich noch nicht gesehen. Ich hätte es vermutet, wenn ich nicht den weißen Sarg vor der Tür gesehen hätte, dessen Deckel offen ist. So konnte man den Toten zwischen Tanzschritten, Fingerfood und Getränken in einem Plastikbecher eine gute Reise wünschen.
Gegen 1 Uhr nachts musste sogar die Polizei kommen und den Wunsch der Anwohner nach Ruhe und Frieden übermitteln.
Allerdings handelt es sich nicht um eine typisch dominikanische Beerdigung, sondern um eine der Haitianer.
So habe ich drei Dinge gelernt.
-Todesfeiern können lustig sein
-Es gibt viele Haitianer in der DomRep, denen es auch gut geht.
-Dominikaner und Haitianer neigen dazu, sich gegenseitig zu misstrauen, was ich an den Äußerungen der Dominikaner hier gesehen habe.
