LeBron versus Jordan, Squash The Beef
According to NBA analyst Jason Timpf, it's LeBron over Michael Jordan right after the former just did enough to put the debate to bed. On "Hoops Tonight," podcast, Timpf said LeBron was the greatest basketball player of all time, touting his latest achievement which is securing his fourth Olympic medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
LeBron has three Olympic gold medals in 2008, 2012, and 2024 while Jordan has two Olympic gold medals from 1984 and 1992. In support of LeBron, Timpf commented that the things which really make him special are the consistency he brings into every game and the dominance over every game. He continued to add how LeBron rises to the occasion and delivers, proving to be the best choice we can have while building a franchise.
LeBron does not lack recent success, which included his 2024 Olympics MVP award. In those games, he averaged 14.2 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 8.5 APG, and 1.3 SPG. On the Olympic floor, he became the first player ever to post two triple-doubles. One really can add much to that statistically when trying to describe his game and his overall impact.
Timpf doesn't stop at just the Olympic medals when he is praising LeBron, he spells out how long LeBron has been doing this and how he performs under pressure. Whether in leading a team to victory or in setting records, LeBron turns things into proof that he's one of the greatest ever to play the game.
So, has the question been settled once and for all? Timpf attests it has, and based on the track record of LeBron, people can hardly find fault with his point.
