My Actifit Report Card: February 8 2025

Walking 9000 steps mostly on hard roads can be a challenging yet rewarding physical activity. Hard surfaces like concrete and asphalt put more pressure on your joints, particularly the knees, hips, and lower back, due to their unforgiving nature. While this can be tough on the body over time, it also helps improve your stamina, as the lack of cushioning requires greater energy output. The repetitive impact can build muscle strength in the legs and lower body, enhancing endurance and fitness.

However, it is important to take precautions to minimize strain. Wearing proper footwear with good arch support and cushioning can help absorb some of the shock from the hard surfaces. Stretching before and after the walk can also prevent stiffness and reduce the risk of injury. Despite the challenges, walking 9000 steps regularly can contribute to cardiovascular health, weight management and overall well-being.
