Decathlon: Exploring The Biggest Sports Store in the Philippines
One time, I went to SM City Cebu to have my name plate done. Since it would take an hour to finish, I went strolling around the mall. Upon strolling through the mall, I came across a store and, curiosity. I went there and explored what was inside of it. The store is called DECATHLON. They just opened last March 1, 2024. It is located at A108-16 Upper ground level, SM City Cebu, Juan Luna Ave Ext, Cebu City, 6000 Cebu.
Decathlon is one of the biggest sports in the Philippines. Their mission is to make the benefits and pleasure of sports accessible to many. They also claimed that their products mostly are eco-friendly.SOURCE

When I entered, I was surprised at how big it was. Now I know it is a sports store that mainly caters to customers' needs for activities, indoor and outdoor equipment and gear. From the entrance, I was able to see the huge tents displayed at the side, perfect for those who loved camping. Every corner is labeled based on different activities for customers to easily locate what they need.
While at the center, I saw the Racket Sports, specially for badminton. Those who want a new racket, you can go there. At the back of it are the action sports, such as tennis, golf, scooters, and inline skates. They also have a Kid Zone. There is kid's apparel, for kids' clothing and essentials.

Additionally, women and men apparels for their clothing needs. They also have equipments for horse riding, fishing, and wild discovery. I became overwhelmed by how huge this sports store was.

Going further, they also have a section for water sports equipment. They have equipment for surfing, diving and snorkeling. Everything you need for your water sports activities, they have them ready for you.
Another thing if you want to go for mountain sports, like hiking. They have corners for hiking women, hiking men even junior hiking. From your clothing needs, to your footwear, even accesories they have got everything for you.

Talking about footwear. They offer a lot of it with its specific usage. Like, for example, walking shoes, you have a lot of choices of their designs and color. I see the quality is superb. What surprised me is that they installed a floor beside the shoe sections where you can try on the footwear when it is used on a plain or rocky road. On choosing, they also have posted some instructions and specifications for the side of the footwear for you to be informed about it. It is such a great idea. Not only do you go shopping, you are also learning something.

If you also want to check out for cycling equipment, specifically bikes. They have a lot on them. Checking into the bikes, they also posted each specification and further details like the bike type, how to choose a bike pump and so on.

For indoor activities like yoga, billiards, archery and long board skates. Everything you need for every sport's type, they all have it.
It is my first time going inside a sports store and this one is so huge, and I am pretty amazed as it is full of surprises. While I was about to go out, I remembered why I could not purchase a ball for my nephew there, since I am already there. So, I went to the ball section and chose balls from there.

I decided to purchase this ball for him for PHP 350.00 or 6.07 USD. He is so happy that I gave him the ball as a gift.
Overall, my experience is a great one. Maybe soon I will go back there since I am also planning to buy, hiking shoes. It is a good recommendation for those who are into sports and for those who want to stay active and healthy. Level up your exercise equipment and gear now. Decathlon branches are so hi tech! I remember a blog post wherein they did a 3d modeling of the foot of their customer for a custom shoes for them.
Looking at the images uploaded this branch is humongous! Our's is just like small place like penshoppe / bench

Wala pa daw kay ga ask ko sa akong mga kaila sa Cebu. Naa man gud ga ask nako pila ang ebike dinhi sa Decathlon pero pwede naka makapalit og second hand motorbike sa price.
