Manchester City's treble has made their fans go gaga. Undoubtedly, Man City is the best team of the 2022/23 season after adding Erling Haaland to their squad at the beginning of the season.
Erling Haaland has proven to be a masterstroke by the club's management as the young Norwegian striker has been a crucial element in the team's success this season. His finishing ability has helped the team score crucial goals in important matches.
It’s not just their treble win that has earned them that accolade. Man City has been consistently dominant in the Premier League for the past few seasons winning four out of the last five titles. They have also won the League Cup four times in a row from 2018 to 2022. Man City got knocked out in the Champions League Semifinal by Real Madrid in 2021/22 after being a runner-up to Chelsea in 2020/21, which shows that they've kept persistent in every competition they play.
Moreover, the team has broken several records throughout the season. They achieved a new Premier League record of 16 consecutive victories surpassing the previous record of 13 consecutive victories set by Arsenal in 2001/02 and Chelsea in 2016/17. Man City also set a new record of 22 consecutive victories across all competitions breaking the previous record of 20 straight wins set by Bayern Munich in 2020-21. In addition to their impressive winning streaks, the Manchester City team had the best defensive record in the Premier League conceding only 28 goals in 38 games.
With an incredible team consisting of world-class players such as De Bruyne, Haaland, Walker, Rodri, Silva, Gündoğan, Grealish, Mahrez, and Foden, with Pep Guardiola as the Coach, Manchester City has proven to be a dominant force in English football. Their treble success is a testament to the hard work and determination of the team as well as the tactical brilliance of their manager Pep Guardiola.
The Citizens manager Pep Guardiola deserves special credit for his tactical acumen and the way he has built a team that can dominate both domestically and on the European stage. His ability to get the best out of his players and instill a winning mentality has been instrumental in the team's success this season.
Julián Álvarez has had a season he would never have dreamed of. He has achieved an incredible feat by winning both the World Cup with Argentina 🇦🇷 and the Treble which includes the Champions League in the same season 2022/23.
Manchester City become the second team to win a treble in England after Manchester United in 1998-99 under Sir Alex Ferguson. The Citizens sealed their treble with Champions League victory against Inter Milan after winning the Premier League, and FA Cup. As a result of their treble win, the Citizens have cemented their place as one of the greatest teams in English football history.
