My Wednesday Walk and picking Elderflowers 🤍💚

I love exactly this place, this forest and this river. That's because it always brings me back to that memorable (at least for me) part of a person's life - the early childhood..One of my favourite memories is when once my grandfather took care of me while my parents were working and he would put me on his shoulders, carry me to the forest, then cook me the most delicious bean soup on fire (and I was a huge picky eater) 😁

Other times I have shared my walks in this place, but on this day it was different. It is already the beginning of summer, although the temperatures are not particularly summery. We visited my mother with @fog043, who lives in a village at the foot of Stara Planina, and we couldn't help but go for a walk in the forest, because this time we also had a task - we had to pick white elder flowers to make syrup 🙂

Of course we got my mom to take time off from yard work to come with us, and we took Rexy, her dog, as always.

Here we encountered an interesting sight - the place looked as if it had snowed here, but in fact it was dense moss that had fallen from the surrounding trees like cotton.

We went along a dirt road, because there was also quite a lot of elder blossom there. From there we saw a small place planted with roses and I got closer because I really wanted to smell them, but not only did they not have a strong fragrance, but they also didn't look very fresh for this time of the year.. Mom explained to me that the owner doesn't take good care of them..
