A Stadium Worthy of the best Club in the World!

They haven't broken ground yet, but it is safe to say that the years of mediocrity are slowly fading in our rear view as Manchester United fans.

For a while now, our home, Old Trafford, has been collapsing under the weight of mediocrity. Rats on the pitch, a broken roof that spills when it rains, crambling sections in the structure that leaves concrete rubble lying around - we have seen it all.

The stadium signals what the past two decades have been for the club. Neglected and wasting away. The Glazers have robbed every little bit of life, chipping away the very pillars that were holding up what was once a great institution.

It has taken INEOS coming in and tearing everything apart so the club would survive. While their actions might be unpalatable to some, it is a necessary remedy. Nobody is more important that the club's longevity. It is the football that pays the staff not the other way around after all.

Getting Manchester United back to profitability and using those profits towards improving the squad is all that matters.

And what is a world class squad without a world class stadium. A lot has been said about remodeling Old Trafford, and while sentimentality is important, there is no denying that the stadium is beyond saving at this point.

In my view, Old Trafford is spent. If it was possible, Old Trafford would be miniaturized and put in a museum and preserved for memories sake. But this is not science fiction.

We need to cut ties with the past and create new memories, at least for the new generation of fans. The club cannot be held back by the sentimental fan groups of the 1990's.

That is what the new stadium gives us. Potentially 100,000 fans, their voices echoing against the roof - an atmosphere like no other. Imagine how it would feel winning the league in that new stadium. Creating the beginning of a new Premier League dynasty.

It is hard to visualize that now when we are so poor on the pitch. History is not kind in that regard either. We have seen Arsenal struggle to win the league for at least 2 decades. Why wouldn't that be us? We are already 13 years in.

I would prefer to be optimistic, though. That said, I intend to target a live Old Trafford experience in the next 5 years. I am told it is an experience unlike any other.
