Sept. 26, 22: Routine, Walking, Teaching, TV, and Games

[Got PIMP meeting coming up here shortly, so trying to get my skeleton done at least before we start…]

Well, tonight was a bit rough, to be honest. I’ve been spoiled for the most part the last two weeks falling asleep whenever and not waking up other than having to pee or whatever (except that one day it was freezing cold)…Wenche fell asleep like immediately and just as immediately started snoring, so I just moved out to the couch.

Was woken up early by the kitchen lights and the dog and everyone getting up and moving around, so I just got up as well even though I could have done with a bit more. I ended up about an hour short on sleep, but it didn’t hit me too hard, so that was alright.

Not a lot going on during the morning routine, just all the usual stuff. Cryptos looked pretty scary with BTC dropping to the mid eighteen thousands, but it bounced back pretty quickly. With the Fed announcement of a .75 basis point rate hike, all the markets took a hit, so in that sense it’s good news, BTC showing some resilience. 💪 Otherwise, chatted on Discord for quite a while, did some curation, the usual token shifting, all that.

Once I got my post done and published, I started debating with myself whether to go out for a walk or not. It was threatening to rain and was seriously cold out, but I bundled up with proper winter gear and headed out. Didn’t quite get the full five kilometers, but not too bad in the time I had (not jogging, just walking).

I got lucky and didn’t get rained on, but it definitely wasn’t warm. I didn’t regret my hat and scarf with the wind in the least.

Not much, well any, activity down at the pond:

Got home, got my usual sandwich for lunch and then hopped in the shower and got ready to head in for Algebra. Was out the door almost ten minutes late, but the traffic was fine and I was set up a couple minutes early.

We looked at solving rational equations and applying the skills we’ve been working on the last several classes. I also showed them direct, inverse, and joint variation and we solved a bunch of formulas for different variables (which we actually do all the time)!

I let them out a bit early again, and the drive home was smooth as well and I had a solid couple hours to chill before Wenche came home from work. Basically just killed the time mucking with WombPlay and watching some YouTube videos.

After Wenche got home, she made us pasta and meat sauce for dinner and we watched the rest of the new episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale. I’m kind of lost at this point…all the interpersonal and political drama just can’t keep my attention.

Played some Splinterlands and made a little progress there and then did my daily challenges on Wombat and started a new game: Arkheim. 😁 I already earned a bunch of WomBucks from playing and have a new NFT goal to work toward.

Speaking of which, I put in another support ticket for the Dice Dreams challenge that didn’t reward me the NFT. Boom! They fixed it again…that’s a couple now; they’re really good about that! I wish I hadn’t spent so much time feeling resentful that they didn’t make good on their promises…just talking with them in Discord and putting in a request takes care of it.

It was a pretty nice one, too! Eighty mining power! 💪 I’m getting it built up now over time and I also got another Silver pack that I buried from the Well of Wealth challenges. 😁 I do still feel a little bit of a slave to it…never thought I’d be setting an alarm and living my life in fifteen minute intervals, but I’m growing for now; hopefully in time I’ll be happy with myself when my button clicks start being worth something for real. 🤑

The drunk fans have finally gone again on Rising Star and my Ego is still at zero for now, and it’s back to missions…and the hamster wheel spins.

I did take a bit of a break from WombPlay games this evening to go in and play a couple rounds of Splinterlands. Not too bad, but looking at two full tiers to go and only three days left in the season. 😱

Broke up into Gold II (at least I’m not in immediate danger of falling back into Silver) and earned four Focus chests…always “fun” to see how many potions I’ll get. 😛😂

Staked my SPS interest again today and just rebuilding my vouchers balance. I still haven’t sold out the ones I moved the other day, so I have dry powder, and I have some liquid HIVE that I haven’t blasted through yet…kinda’ thinking about snagging some more WAX NFTs to bury (might have mentioned that before), but I’m doing much better now than last season for sure and just started a couple new NFT challenges to earn some more! 💪
